Aims of Home Learning:-
To provide opportunities for students to work independently and to take responsibility for their own learning
To encourage students to develop a self-disciplined and self-motivating attitude to study
To help students recognise the link between good study habits and higher standards of achievement
To develop skills and encourage revision and consolidation of work covered in class
To extend learning covered in class by use of meaningful learning activities and develop research skills
To support parents/carers understanding of what their child(ren) are learning in school and develop home school links
Home Learning will be set by individual subject teachers. Students will be given a minimum of 48 hours to complete any task set. The recommended minimum amounts of Home Learning to be set are as follows:

Key Stage 5 – Years 12 and 13 Students in Years 12 and 13 are expected to devote at least 5 hours per week outside lessons to each subject they are studying.
Students will be supported by the VI Form team and encouraged to make full use of the facilities available within the VI Form centre both during and after normal school hours.
