The Coleshill School - a Maths and Computing College

Aims & Ethos

The Coleshill School is one of the longest established in Warwickshire. It was founded in 1520 for the education of boys and girls under the age of nine living in the parish of Coleshill. It has grown over the years into a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school of over 900 students. Whilst we are aware of our traditions, we are also aware that we have a responsibility to prepare young people for life in the 21st Century.

The Coleshill School offers the opportunity to learn and be successful. Standards and expectation are high and each person is valued equally. We aim to enable everyone to achieve personal excellence. We aim to instil in all members of the school the need to meet and develop high standards of work and behaviour. We want the young people who eventually leave The Coleshill School to be responsible citizens, able to contribute to the world around them. On an individual basis, we aim to develop respect and tolerance whilst instilling personal pride and self esteem. We want the young people of The Coleshill School to fulfil their expectations both as an individual and as part of a team.

The school can provide only part of the development necessary to achieve these aims. We place great emphasis on the close co-operation between school, parents, carers and the community in order to work together for the benefit of the young people entrusted to our care.
