Extra Curricular

We provide extensive extra curricular opportunities including a wide range of sporting activities, some all year ,but most in the relevant seasons. Alongside the major games, athletics, badminton, golf, and aerobics are some of the opportunities we can offer. We are fortunate in having extensive playing fields and six tennis courts. We hold the Sportsmark award for our commitment to sport at school and in the community.

Students can join in activities in drama, dance, music, 'Glee' and choir. There is an annual programme of concerts and performances not just at school but also in the community.

International visits during school holidays are other opportunities we offer, with trips to Russia, France, Italy, Germany and Namibia for cultural, sport or personal challenges. They are immensely enjoyable and we hope to continue to offer them.

As part of our rewards, we offer opportunities for young people to take part in social activities such as bowling or residential visits.

We supplement our curriculum by holding off-timetable experiences for different year groups. These may be directly related to need such as a Careers Education. Sometimes it is to undertake curriculum work that will fit into a timetabled day such as field visits.
