The Coleshill School - a Maths and Computing College

Facilities

The Coleshill School has recently undertaken refurbishment across many areas of the school, including the Sixth Form Centre.

We have seven well equipped Science laboratories, seven ICT suites as well as an ICT room dedicated for Sixth Form use. The school is networked with hubs available in the Library, Sixth Form area, Communications Faculty, Mathematics Faculty, Science Faculty, Design Faculty, Learning Support, Humanities Faculty and Staff Workroom. We have dedicated facilities for Learning Support, specialist Art and Design rooms, Music and practice facilities, a purpose built Sixth Form Centre, gymnasia, extensive playing fields, tennis courts and Drama studio.

The Library and ICT rooms are popular facilities. They are open before, during and after school to provide a quiet area for study. The Library has a large collection of reference material, books, tapes and CD/DVDs available for use.

Our most valuable resources are our teaching and support staff who, between them, deliver a wide-ranging curriculum to address the needs of each pupil.

Students can follow a wide variety of courses Post-16. The Sixth Form Prospectus is available on this website. Recent Sixth Form students have stated:

"Sixth Form life offers a greater level of responsibility and independence".

"I have been really happy since joining the Sixth Form. It's friendly but there is a real work ethic".

"You get your independence with a safety net of guidance from the teachers".

"All the teachers are really friendly, helpful and always thinking about our education".

International School Link

We have a partnership with Brikama-ba Secondary School in The Gambia, West Africa.

The partnership helps our young people understand the implications and opportunities of being a global citizen.

Our activities centre on curriculum projects jointly carried out by our schools. Future plans will involve pupil and students exchanges. We aim to support young people's interest and desire to know more about other cultures.
