School Lunch

We operate a biometric catering system which provides a more cash free environment within the school. The system enables us to deliver an efficient, fast service while providing wholesome, healthy and enjoyable meals. All students and staff registered through a finger print image recording. This enables a quick and simplified system without the worry of forgetting or losing a card..

There is a daily maximum spend of £7.00. The daily spend can be increased or decreased for an individual pupil or student by a written request to the Catering Manager at the school.

There are three ways to put money into the account, onto the swipe card.

(i) By Cheque – payable to Warwickshire County Council for a Term, Half Term, month or week. The cheque must be placed in an envelope in the Catering Post Box. The full name of the pupil or student and their Tutor Group must be on the envelope.

(ii) By Cash Note – the cash terminals in the Dining Room will accept bank notes.

(iii) By Cash Coin – all revaluation machines will accept £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p coins.

Students who are entitled to a free meal will be issued an allowance. The daily allowance will be automatically added each day. Extra credit can be added to the system for break time snacks or extra food at dinnertime by paying cash into one of the automatic cash terminals.

If students have a controlled diet for medical reasons, ie diabetes, nut allergies, the system can monitor this and prevent accidental purchase of inappropriate items. Parents need to send a note indicating they want this information entered on the system to alert the pupil or student of such dangers.
